CHEMP PhD student Honourary Chair for Niagara Region Gutsy Walk!
Graduate student Samantha Morin was chosen to represent the Niagara Region (her hometown) as this year's Local Honourary Chair for the Gutsy Walk, Crohn's and Colitis Canada's largest single-day fundraiser, which took place on Sunday, June 4th.
Sam kicked off the walk with a speech and the ceremonial ribbon (aka toilet paper) cutting. She led her team of over 30 members, “Sam’s Bowl Bombers”, including fellow CHEMP members Dr. Joyce Obeid, grad students Maddy Byra and Leili Hadayeghi, and undergrad student Sarah Da Silva on the 5km walk. Together, Sam’s Bowl Bombers raised over $2,000 for this important cause.
